BatchIQ is traceability and compliance software for food producers, operated by Kupriq, a Bellberry Estate Ltd company. These terms cover your use of the service. By creating an account you agree to them.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has access to it. You must be authorised to act for the business you set up in BatchIQ.
Accounts are per site, with unlimited users. You give people access through the Team screen and choose what each of them can do.
The batches, ingredient lots, suppliers, customers, dispatches, temperature readings, HACCP records, recall exercises, staff records and everything else you put into BatchIQ belong to you. We store and process them to provide the service to you, and for no other purpose. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train anything.
You can export your records at any time from the Export screen, as CSV. If you need a complete copy of everything, ask us — see getting a full copy or deleting your account for how that works and why we check who is asking.
BatchIQ helps you keep records. It does not verify them, does not audit them, and does not make any business compliant with the Food Act 2014, a Food Control Plan, a National Programme or an RMP. It does not submit anything to MPI, and nothing in the product is legal advice.
What BatchIQ holds is a record of what was entered or reported at the time. Recall scope, stock figures, temperature readings and traceability chains are only as good as the data behind them. Responsibility for your food safety programme, and for what you do in a real recall, remains yours.
Temperature readings from probes are subject to the accuracy of the device and to it having a working connection. We do not supply, calibrate or warrant any hardware. Where your programme requires calibrated equipment, that is a matter between you, your verifier and your supplier of that equipment.
New accounts get 30 days free, with no credit card. After that BatchIQ is NZ$49 per site per month, excluding GST. The price you join at is the price you keep — we will not raise the fee on an existing account.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and we do not refund part-months unless something has gone wrong at our end.
We would rather tell you plainly than have you find out. If a trial ends or a payment lapses:
We never take read access away over money. A producer part-way through a recall, or sitting in front of a verifier, must be able to reach their traceability chain whether or not an invoice is outstanding. Withholding new writes applies commercial pressure without ever making us the reason somebody could not answer MPI.
Nothing is deleted automatically. Under a food safety programme you are required to keep records for years, so an automatic purge could destroy evidence you were obliged to hold. A person decides, and we contact you first.
We work to keep BatchIQ running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and it needs an internet connection. We may change or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of anything significant.
If you are relying on BatchIQ during a recall and cannot reach it, email or use the message button and say so — that goes to the top of the queue.
Do not use BatchIQ unlawfully, attempt to reach another business's data, or put content into it that you have no right to hold. We may suspend an account being used in a way that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will contact you before doing that.
You can stop using BatchIQ at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data — see deleting your account or data. Export what you need first; deletion is not reversible.
BatchIQ is supplied for business use. You acknowledge that you acquire it for the purposes of a business, and that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply. You agree it is fair and reasonable for the Act to be excluded on that basis. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986.
BatchIQ is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the issue arose.
New Zealand law applies, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
